Working with a Weekly Caloric Deflict?

Hi everyone!

Recently, I have been curious about something. Since I aim to create a caloric deflict of 200 per day (consuming 1600 a day), would it be the same if I worked it out as a Weekly Caloric goal?

So let's say at the end of the week my total calories should equal to (1600 X 7 = 11200) but I don't actually stick to 1600 a day, in other words, some days I might sneak up to 1800, and some days might just reach 1500.

Basically, what I'm trying to query is, will working around a weekly caloric deflict produce the same results, as opposed to the same caloric deflict everyday? (Note - totals at the end of the week will be the same).

All help and answers will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Yes, that's what I do, it's quite a common approach and works well for a lot of people.

What a relief, thank you for your response! I will consider moving towards this approach long term :)
