So your son comes after you into the woods/slopes with a camera and then photoshopjobs it?? Really??

Yup. We run/hike together but no photoshop necessary. He used a 1960's analog camera and actual black and white film, it took a week to get the film developed and finally see how the photos turned out!

Lightning Creek Boat Camp, on Ross Lake.

It's managed by the National Park Service, so you need a permit to camp there. Which means you have to already be in line at the Wilderness Information Center when they open at 7 am. Then you hike in, rent a boat at the resort, head up, and make camp.

He's an excellent photographer! I've never known anyone with their own paparazzi!!! Swoon!

Thanks, I'll tell him! :) He's a good kid. He likes using the old school analog cameras and different types of film and he likes that we have to wait to get the film developed to see the photos (like in the days before digital photography) because it's a sweet surprise to see how the photos turned out!

Thanks! We had fun that day! It was a 4 hour hike/trail run in nearly 100 degree heat! The darker terrain looks that way because a wildfire had occurred a couple of weeks prior!

Here are some more pics from Ross Lake. The water is kind of green because it's melted glaciers.

This is me in a kayak with Pyramid and Colonial behind me.
