How do I track when eating out? Seems like you have to enter a guess? App doesn't bring up suggestions

If it's a chain restaurant, you can look up nutritional information online. If it isn't, then you have to make your best guess. I would err on the high side to be cautious. Or if it's a relatively simple meal, you can break it down by its parts.2

Restaurant eating is a guess - I agree with the above poster. Even a "healthy" salad option can be high in calories because of the dressing. Everything seems to have tons of butter, oil, sugar, salt to make the food taste amazing.1

TIP - take a picture of your meal: entree, drinks, appetizers, etc. to aid in tracking recall.1

like @samanthaluangphixay said - many chain restaurants have their info available online - I went to dinner at Red Robin (burger place) for dinner tonight and pre-planned what I was going to eat by using their online menu - it may not have been exact but it was close0
