Is anyone a member of Anytime Fitness?
If so can you tell me about how much monthly dues are?
Do they have a family plan/or discount for more than one family member joining?
Do you know if kids (my daughter is 14) can join?
Can you go to any of their centers if I move or travel?

My cell phone currently doesn't pick up a reception where I am staying. I've emailed them, and hoping they will get back with me soon. I hate just walking in. I always feel "attacked by sharks" when I go in places like that. KWIM?0

I used to belong to Anytime...it ran about $75/month for both the Spouse Thingy and I (you do catch a little bit of a price break for a couples membership), and we could use any Anytime Fitness in the country. I don't know about additional family members or their minimum age, but that might be on their website.
It was an all right place to work out, just not ideal for us. They're usually really small, no locker rooms, no place to store your gear other than a cubby hole. When they're busy, just getting on the equipment can be a pain. No pool, which turned out to be a major thing for me.
Lots of people love the chain, though...if you don't mind a really small gym and no locker rooms, no classes, no pool, etc, and can work out at times when it's not busy, it could be worth it. For the same price we found a *huge* gym (In Shape) with a pool, locker rooms, towel service, etc... and it's as available as Anytime, but in this gym if you work out at 2 am, there are people working there (Anytime gyms are usually un-staffed after 9 pm...)0 -
Currently I am in podunk county, TX, it's the only gym avaliable. My daughter asked if we could join. She wants to work out on a treadmill. Thanks for the info though.0

Hey,
I recently joined Anytime at the start of the month. I'm 20 years old and i joined with my bf. We first did a trial to see if we liked it, the trial lasted a week and we then decided it was something we wanted so we joined up. We were lucky though cause when we joined there was a no joining fee discount for that day. That saved us about 150 bucks combined.
We paid around 60 (i think) for the key to get in and out of the gym seeing as its 24 hours and for us the cost is about 60 a month. Although we are student we couldn't get a discount due to the no join up discount we recieved. You should be able to get some sort of discount though cause there are so many gyms around and they are all fighting for people to join theres so you can probably haggle the price a little especially with join up fees. I am sure your daughter is able to join as long as you sign consent.
And regards to your last question, once you have a membership with Anytime you have to wait 30 days until your card lets you into any other gym thats not your local one. After these 30 days though it will be fine.
Best of luck! Let me know if you end up joining. I think its a great place. Its a smaller environment compared to most other gyms so its more personal.0
