Frustrated...

Hey Everyone,

So I guess I'm still pretty new to MFP, and at first I was not being very consistent with logging my food/exercise logging, but for a little more than a week I've been really trying to log everyday. I have been doing this boot camp class for about a month and a half now as well and been committed to at least 3 days a week of attending.

My frustration comes with the fact that I don't seem to be losing any weight! I know I should not expect any significant weight loss when I've only been truly serious for the past month and a half, but I haven't even dropped a couple pounds! I mean, isn't there water weight to lose or something? And from my most recent logs, I'm under the calorie goal with the exercise I'm doing...is there something I'm doing wrong? Or something that I am not taking into account?

I have gained 30 pounds in three years, which is not immensely bad, but being at the weight I am, it's unhealthy for my height and age. I really want to lose the weight, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I was hoping someone could give me some advice or suggestions?! Anything would be greatly appreciated.

    have you been doing measurements... sometimes even if u dont see it on the scale, u can see it in your body/clothes.

    If you aren't NETTING 1200 or more (after exercise then you aren't eating enough and you won't lose...

    Two things - are you weighing / measuring your portions......it is very easy to under estimate how much you are actually eating....
    2ndly - if you are eating back all your exercise calories are you using a heart rate monitor to track how much you are actually burning.....

    If you want to you can open your food diary, so we can have a look and maybe give you some more informed advice...

    I was having the same problem my first few weeks on mfp but i realized that I wasn't eating back my exercise calories and the time that i lost a lot of weight, i didnt track my calories at all i just ate healthy and until i was almost full. Since i;ve been eating back calories things have gotten much better :)
  • So I made my Food diary public...I'd appreciate any input. I don't have a scale, I was thinking of getting one, any suggestions? As of now, I use a measuring cup for most of the things I eat, but yes I do kinda of guesstimate on some things.

    I have done measurements, but through my bootcamp and I have only been measure twice. The initial ones and then a second one...I had gained a pound, my %body fat didn't change, but I did lose I think quarter inches on my hips and waist I think? I was definitely excited about it, but I just thought some actual pounds on the scale would go away.

    Thanks so far though for your input. It's nice to have some support.
