Dream I Had Last Night

Two-story house. The kind of houses that are my favorites with wrap-around porches on both first and second floors. The house had a lake in the backyard. Dark blue waters. My whole family was with me on the second floor, each person taking turns jumping from the second floor into the lake. It was my turn. I jumped in with no struggle. Pure confidence. I even jumped in facing backwards. My family continued to jump. But the lake turned into a medium-sized pile of bushes and thorns. They still jumped regardless, and they happily dove into the bushes. I started to grow cautious. I stopped jumping while everyone acted like there was nothing wrong. The thorny bushes then turned into a single red, cushioned chair. My family continued to jump from the house and managed to land on the chair safely. It was my turn. I couldn't do it. I hoped that if I closed my eyes then I wouldn't be scared. That didn't work. I stared down the chair and how far I was from the ground. I stared for a long time while everyone else continued jumping. I was scared and couldn't shake the fear away.

p.s. excuse all the fragments, run-ons, and other grammatical errors. I just write what I'm thinking right then and there.

Could you Paint Me A Birmingham
Make it look just the way I planned
A little house on the edge of town
Porch going' all the way around
Put her there in the front yard swing
Cotton dress make it, early spring
For a while she'll be, mine again
If you can Paint Me A Birmingham

When you said wrap around porch this song automatically popped on my head

    Lol

Wow! I think that dream was trying to tell you something. It would be hard for anyone but you to attempt to interpret it though. It seems to depend heavily on your relationship with your family and perhaps current events or topics of discussion which have come up between you and them?

You're right. I also believe that the dreamer is really the only one that can most accurately interpret their own dream. I actually think this dream has more to do with what i was doig in the dream and how I was feeling.

Often times when I engage in something new in life I am successful at first. But as I face challenges and things seem to get harder, I think my confidence goes down. I begin to lose faith in myself while it seems as though everyone else around me continues to thrive and overcome their own challenges.
