    The Exorcist

Read the book, it is actually very interesting. It is more factual, not scary, then watch the movie.

Oooh I love scary movies! For pure thrill suspense and creepiness I like movies like the conjuring and the first two paranormal activity movies. A movie that actually gave me nightmares though was the lovely bones and that's not even considered scary

Poltergeist. I don't get creeped out by scary movies generally, but that one gets me..

Anyone else think people confuse gory and scary? So many people's scary movies are just blood baths rather than suspenseful or scary.

I can't think of a favourite scary movie, most of them seem to lose their impact after watching it once. favourite movies to me are things you can watch over and over like Hot Fuzz
