Body Fat %

I have lost nearly all the weight I want - only 2 1/2 lbs to go (Yay!), however, when I weigh myself on my scales my body fat % is still in the red zone at 30%.
Now I am a healthy weight for my height - how do I go about getting my body fat % to a healthy one?
Anyone help?
Thanks

Congrats on your current success. Unfortunately, the only way to get that body fat percentage down is to do what you've been doing. Just keep at it.0

I agree to just keep at it...if it was BMI saying that i'd be tempted to say ignore it...my BMI says i should be half the weight i am but if i did that i'd be ill and in hospital as i'm big boned!
Good luck!0 -
Losing weight is easy. Losing body fat is much more difficult.
Simply eating at a deficit will cause your body to drop weight. Eating too little protein, not working your muscles out enough, or too high of a deficit will cause muscle loss.
The amount of calories found in a lb of muscle = 600
The amount of calories found in a lb of fat = 3500
You want to burn fat, not muscle.
Also, bio-impedance scales are notoriously inaccurate and have a lot of variation.0
