Can you be more bloated and retain more water on some periods than other months?

I have also been doing 30 minutes of cardio and this is the week before my period when I get bloated and even working out isn't helping. My weight actually spiked 5 pounds more than usual the week before my period. Don't know what's going on there0

New exercise can also cause water retention.0

New exercise, TOM, and high sodium can all add to it. Keep moving forward an see what happens. It should drop off by the end.0
