I've been full up with a nasty cold for 3 days, have not exercised at all and now my appetite is back, all I want is fatty food! Feel so guilty

Maybe you need more fat on a regular basis. What are your calories and macros set to?

I've had the same problem recently. When I used to get sick I would get all the junk food in the world as it would get me better fast! Sadly I've been sick for over a week and after three days had enough and went to the gym for 3 days straight until I couldn't anymore as I could not breathe properly when exercising. If you have some self control maybe allow yourself one junk thing a day maybe? That helped me in the end

What's wrong with fat? It's kind of essential to proper diet...nothing to feel guilty about.

OP being sick sucks and really is a time where you need to respect your bodies needs to rest and recuperate.

Seconding the idea of eating at maintenance. Ensure to keep up your fluids, eat nourishing foods (ie: those foods that you enjoy and nourish both body and soul) rest and get better. Don't be too eager to get back to exercise till you are feeling well enough and expect that you may find that you tire more easily for quite a while.

Also, as Wolfman pointed out please don't feel guilty over desiring fats. Food is not something to ever waste the energy of guilt on. Maybe your body is responding to a diet too low in fats or is craving it while you are sick.

    All the best.
