So I am 32 and I am 298. This is crazy so I am done being obese and ready to be a beast. I have struggled with weight my whole life at 13 I was at 200. I yo-yo diet of and on my whole life. I am done with that. This is life change a new me and the time is now. So with the support of others I hope to reach 200 by the end of March. I am not going to let anything stop me. I am in it for the long haul. I will be healthy and hopefully fit. Happiness is looking in the mirror and seeing who you always dreamed to be looking back at you.

Can I give you some honest advice? If you're a yo-yoer and are sick of the roundabout, set good, solid moderate goals which are sustainable in the long term - not 100 lbs in 3.5 months (and over the holiday period to boot).

I'm a yoyoer from way back, my highest was 254lbs (and I'm a 5'4 female). The only thing that has worked for me in the long run is learning all new habits and making changes over time. Fast weight loss (for me) led to fast regain because I didn't actually change my lifestyle - I "dieted" until I got lighter, then went back to "normal" - my "normal" is why I was fat!

Wish you all the best. I suggest intermittent fasting. One bigger meal in the evening as long as it is below your daily calorie intake. Its hard in the beginning but I found that I actually have more energy throughout the day as eating also takes energy out of a person. Avoid salt in your meals and drink only water. Keep in touch. Hey, that's so great that you want to make a change.
I have to admit, I agree with Alatriel, the changes that you want to make need to be permanent and sustainable.
It took me just over 12 months to lose 95lbs however I got pregnant and regained all of that weight because I was out of control with my food & exercise. I'm now back on track and I've got a mini goal of 50lbs by March (a friends wedding) however I started this in October so my weight loss has been consistent and gradual.
I know how hard it is to be extremely obese, I'm still over 300lbs and I've already lost 28lbs (I'm 5ft10) but gradual weight loss will make you happier & healthier. Statistically, you are more likely to keep the weight off if it is done over a sustained period of time rather than a crash diet.
I'm always willing to support and encourage those who are in the same boat as myself, you are working for a better and healthier version of yourself. Please just do it in a manageable and safe way!
