5 + 30 Challenge for December 2017

We don't have a scale in our house since we moved across the country and I haven't replaced it. This makes it harder for me to participate in the weekly weigh-in type challenges. So instead, I wanted to offer a non-weight related challenge to increase fruit and veg intake, and get a minimum recommended amount of physical activity most days.
It goes a little something like this:
Commit to a minimum of 5 servings of fruit and vegetables plus 30 minutes of movement of any kind most days of the week. These are the minimum recommendations for EVERY day, and I know it helps to have wiggle room to meet goals, so I'm going to shoot for 5 out of 7 days.
You can check in every day, or once a week. For every day check in, you could just write:
5 a day-yes or no
30 min-yes or no
And for checking in once a week you could write:
5 a day-y/y/y/n/y/n/y
30 min-n/y/y/y/n/y/y
Here's a great little video I like to share with people about physical activity in case you're looking for some motivation:

Although the "5 a Day for Better Health" has since been replaced with "Fruit and Veggies-More Matters", I like to have SMART goals where I have a measurable target to ask if I have met my goal or not. There's a lot of great info on their site about what constitutes a portion as well as recipes and ideas to increase fruit and veg intake: http://www.fruitsandveggiesmorematters.org/
Also, here's a great visual chart of what servings of fruits and vegetables look like: http://www.fruitsandveggiesmorematters.org/how-much-do-i-need
