How much protein can u absorb in 1 meal
Anyone know? Studies maybe?

    I'd be willing to bet that the limit on "absorption" is higher than most people can consume.

    However, the amount that one can digest is not necessarily the same as the amount that maximally benefits muscle protein synthesis.

    So for example you could eat 100g protein in one meal and digest it just fine. It will still get broken down into amino acids, but you might only be using a fraction of that meal for synthesizing new muscle protein.

    Also, while only a fraction of our total protein intake may be used directly in muscle protein synthesis, it's the larger intake that triggers said synthesis.

    Yep. I'll vouche for this. Also. Rather than consuming everything at once, why not break it into smaller meals to maximize possible nutrient absorption through greater digestion. A larger meal requires more energy to digest than one half the size.

    I just consumed way too much protein in one sitting. Now I've got the meat sweats... :s

    I regularly eat my daily calories in 1 meal and for a certain "diet", consumed 250g protein during that window. No negative effects were apparent (except being exceptionally full).
