I am 51. I started RN school this pst January and I work full time as an LPN MDS Coordinator. When I started school all of my spare time was gone. Prior to school, I worked out at least 3 times or more weekly. I was doing mud runs. I now weigh 206 pounds, which is the most I have ever weighed! I know what I need to do but I need accountability, something.
Starting on January 2nd, I am doing the Advocare 24day All in Challenge to get me jump started. In the meantime I have tried to start eating better and I am starting to walk again today and hopefully build back up to running....
Good luck everyone with your goals!! Missy

Hi, I'm also 51 and am in the process of setting up my own company while I also move internationally. It's never to late to move forwards!
Why not use the tools here instead of paying money for something you can do using MFP? You have the tools (MFP and your food scale). You have your determination. You CAN do this.
Set a weight loss appropriate to the difference between your current and goal weights (no more than 1% of your current weight per week). Log everything (yes; the good, the bad and the ugly). Exercise if you can and want to and eat half your exercise calories on top of your calorie goal. Weigh every bite of food that goes in your mouth (liquids can be measured) and double check all the entries you use against the usda database or the nutritional landing and you'll do well.
Good luck and above all believe in yourself.
Edited because spelling is hard and I lost my glasses again1 -
I'm doing the Advocare because my friend is doing it, but I have found that for me to lose the weight and feel good I just have to be active and eat sensible. I don't want to be on a program the rest of my life...
My goodness, you have a lot going on too!0 -
Hi! I've just started following MFP fairly recently. Been lurking around reading posts, but it's time to COMMIT. I want to get serious about losing weight, starting Jan 1.
I'm 56, weigh 194 lb, want to get down to 170 as my initial goal. Saphin, great comments! Right on.
Let's support each other and do this!0 -
I'm definitely in...we've got this!0
