Skinny fat help

I finally figured out the correct term for my current condition. I'm definetely not fat, I'm pretty small compared to others. However, I don't feel comfortable in a bikini because my stomach sticks out and if I bend over I have rolls. I'm a normal and actually pretty low weight for my height, yet I still don't feel confident. After doing some research today I realized I can call this skinny fat! What are your tips to tackle this? I've been on a deficit for almost a year now (I got my Fitbit on Christmas) but saw no major changes until the summer when I went vegan but still not where I was hoping to be in one year. Should I lower my deficit and focus more on strength training? How can I get rid of the extra fat with a lower deficit as many websites have recommended?

This is me skinny fat, I'm doing weight training instead of cardio. I want to create that strong, tight lean muscle look.
See how it goes giving myself 3 months to see some changes0 -
Every woman alive has rolls on the belly when she bends over if she's not emaciated and isn't actively sticking it in. You're literally squashing your internal organs8

I was just going to say this! Everyone has rolls when they bend over.
As for the rest of your post, as others have said, recomp - lift weights.1 -

I was going to say this too. My daughter is underweight and she still has rolls when sitting or bending in certain positions. They are smaller than my rolls, but still there.1 -

You're using illegal drugs to get results though, which you shouldn't really be advertising on here....2 -

I'm not sure about the illegal drugs part, but you have a number of threads that you have started that have all given you the same advice...why do you keep starting different threads asking basically the same question?? is there a different answer you are hoping for??0

Yes this! I was doing Jillian Michaels' Six Week 6 Pack yesterday and was thinking that she has one of the best mid sections around but guess what??? Yep, she had rolls when she bent over!
Best advice is to lift weights and have a relatively healthy diet. I say relatively because I'm a firm believer in eating what you like....just in moderation.

Recomp. Sounds crazy because I know you probably feel like you have "5-10 more lbs. to lose" but in all reality you probably just need to build muscle. No matter how much you lose, your body will still stay composed the same unless you incorporate lifting and can change the composition of your body to be made up of more muscle - giving a toned and tight appearance. I used to be the same way, I was well under what I should weigh and felt unhappy with my body. Then I started lifting and even though I weigh about 10 lbs. more than I used to, my body looks like what I always wanted it to look like. I never thought I would be the "strong girl" or have abs, or not look flabby, but after training hard for about a year and a half, I made it happen. Definitely look into weight training. Don't be scared to lift heavy. Don't be scared to eat more to fuel your body to gain muscle.2

The other thread about something illegal was NOT the OP, it was one of the posters replying here. Just wanted to make that clear, since I got them confused at first!0

Correct. That is why @TavistockToad quoted the offending individual and not the OP.0 -

<shrugs > I saw a response or two that seemed to have made the same at a glance mistake that I did, so figured I'd post. Some of us don't pay as much attention as we should1

I used to feel bad about the fat around my butt and legs. And never understood why my waistline would remain small no matter what...like an hourglass shape. It used to frustrate me because the proportions would get crazy...like really wide butt and really small waistline. But, then I learned that the fat on the butt and thighs is not as dangerous as the fat surrounding internal organs. Fat around internal organs has a higher propensity for metabolic syndrome diseases. I figure my situation was a Blessing in disguise I guess. My weight loss journey was more food related than exercise related. In fact, more like 95% food, and 5% exercise. I barely do exercise, except for leisurely stuff like biking. But, not sure if that has anything to do with where the fat is "parked" on the body.0
