Hey guys so I am finally going to start going back to the gym after the new year (when the daycare there will watch my son while I work out) I have already slimmed down to pre pregnancy weight of 144lbs and am 5'7. My goal is to tone my stomach and get my abs back, all whilst keeping the booty that I have. Last time I was hard core working out I unfortunately lost about half the booty I had. Any tips on specific diet or workout guidelines that can help? Thanks in advance!

If you want a nice stomach but don't want to lose your butt, eat at maintenance and do a resistance program, either body weight or lifting. If you still have fat to lose, eat at a slight deficit of 200-250 calories per day.

Thank you for the advice! Before I was always just kind of winging it. My brother and I worked out almost everyday but I just did what he did most of the time. Lol kind of dumb looking back on it since we definitely have a different body type. Lol!
I will definitely look into resistance programs! Thank you!

I do the basic 5 lifts: squat, bench, deadlifts, OHP, row, and add hip thrusts. I follow a 5x5 type routine, twice a week, with cardio or circuits in between. If you want to keep your booty, you have to work it. Hip thrusts and glute bridges are great for the booty.

i've been doing front squats for a couple of months. i press/bench/deadlift/row and back squat as well, but when it comes to the abs part of things, i don't think anything has quite matched what the front squats have done.

oh, and the other ab thing . . . ? pullups or chins.
