Calorie deficit questions !!

I have a calorie deficit of 900. I set my calorie intake at 1300. Well today I ate roughly 1800 in calories, burned around 1400 according to my automatic sync on my Fitbit. Should I keep my caloric deficit at bay since I preset my intake at 1300 calorie for weight loss or should I eat those 900 extra calories that I'm allowed?! I think sooner than later I'll track macros but right now my question is in regards to deficit. Thanks!!!

Are you saying you burned an additional 1400 with exercise? That seems like an awful lot.
What does MFP say your remaining calories are?0 -
Mfp says my remaining calories is 900. Well I wore my Fitbit all day, walked a ton, and worked out with it. It gave me a 1400 calorie intake boost.0

One day per week, you can get away with your net deficit of 2300. If you try to do that 2 days in the week, you lose control and have a net 2300 surplus one day soon. Your brain wants to run on glycogen, which is stored in your liver and is the digestive product of carbohydrates. Your body can store enough glycogen to run your body for a little more than 1 day. By netting -2300 calories in one day, you've driven your glycogen stores to E and your brain starts signaling your body to convert fat to ketones for an alternative brain food. This process is slow and the brain is insistent, so this is when you are most likely to pig out. This belongs in the category of "Stupid Diet Tricks". You can net -2300, but it's a bad idea.3

To be honest, I'd be a little leery of that 1400 extra calories. Depending on your size and what you did it might be right but to be on the safe side I wouldn't eat them all.
How long have you had your fitbit? Mine overestimated calories wildly for the first couple of weeks until it "learned" me and now is pretty accurate.
If you give your stats and either screen shot your exercise diary or just open your diary someone should be able to figure out if that's close to correct.0 -
I'd say you can probably enjoy a cookie or something small for a snack but I wouldn't eat back all your calories. See how you feel this week and if you find yourself starving or really lacking energy for your work outs then you likely aren't getting enough food and maybe up your calories by a couple hundred on work out days1

Yea I'll start macro checking next week. Just wanted and overall census what y'all do. I ate 500 more calories than of I wouldn't had worked out!0

I've had it 3 weeks now. It's accurate. I worked my butt off at the gym. I believe it! Ha0

Well then, if you're sure it's accurate enjoy the extra food! If you find after a few weeks that you are maintaining or putting on weight then you might want to revisit the issue.1

Many people around here eat back 1/2 the calories they "earn" from physical activity.2

Gotcha! Sounds great!!!0
