I have been fighting my weight for a very long time, and never win. I have never been this heavy in my life today I finally got on the scale and hit the 200 mark I wanted to puke. I'm 21 almost 22, my good friend just lost 100 lbs in a year and I'm so happy for her, but I want to do that, but my goal is 50 lbs if she can do 100 I should be able to do 50, the issue is I'm almost positive I have BED and I just can't stop I was seeing a nutritionist and then just stopped because I would get so anxious and guilty before each meeting I desperately need help, this is not my first time on this app but I'm begging any one and everyone to help me I'm at a loss

I need to lose 50 lbs as well. Problem is every Monday I plan to start working out and eating right and I dont. This time I have decided to start on Tuesday lol. Tomorrow I begin. I'm hoping this app will help keep me accountabke. Also I have done the Betty Rocker 30 day Make your fat cry challenge, it is free and only 15 mins a day. You should look it up! I lost 12 pounds from doing that and I also joined a clean eating support group. But then I stopped. This was 8 months ago. I'm ready to get back at it and stick with it, tomorrow lol. Good luck to you!0

A therapist would be your strongest ally. I mean this in the kindest way, but getting an official diagnosis would go a long way in helping you overcome this. Nutritionists have a wide variability in quality and education. If you can see a registered dietician who specializes in eating disorders. The problem is that with calorie restriction (which is how we lose weight, through eating less) can set you up for further binges. Getting the right help from the right people will set you up for success. I wish you all the best.3 -
If you suspect BED, seek out a therapist who specializes in eating disorders. Your PCP may be able to help you find one. A nutritionist is not qualified to help with that.2

Yes, certainly find someone that can help you process through your issues relating to food. When you break that guilt, this process will get easier.0

I struggled with weight when I was young, too. The only thing that ever helped was when I started to eat LCHF. Completely changed my life. Weight came right off, and other bio markers improved, too. Good luck. I hope you find what you are looking for.0

Stop fighting yourself, start loving yourself. One of the ways you can "show" yourself true love, is by regularly nourishing your body, and not overfeeding it. Eating is supposed to feel good, but not to be used as a replacement for doing other things you like, or to keep emotions at bay.
Set up MFP with your stats if you haven't already. Tell it that you want to lose a pound per week. MFP will give you a calorie goal to hit. Then do your best to hit that goal every day. You can eat anything you want. No food is off limit. But some foods will do a better job satisfying you. You are not supposed to feel hungry all the time. But you should feel pleasantly hungry before each meal.
You can get professional help, to find strategies and sort out what's troubling you, but you have to do the eating, and thus the weight management work, yourself.0
