Only One Leg Tiring Out?

I know from years of experience running (back in my school days) that it's not normal for only one leg to tire out while exercising, but that's exactly what's been happening to me for about a month now. Whenever I get on my treadmill it's like my right leg is taking everything and my left leg is getting absolutely nothing. I've always felt the burn just a bit more in my right leg, but what's happening now I've never experienced. So, does anyone have an idea what might be causing this? Could it be caused by my treadmill being off-level or is it something to do with me?

It could be a lot of things. No one an app is really qualified to tell you what.

A physiotherapist (seeing you in person) may be able to help assess your gait, balance, comparative strength, hip alignment etc and give you an idea where the problem lies and either help you correct it or referred you to the appropriate specialist if necessary. That might be a place to start.

My guess is your right leg is overcompensating for something. It could be anything. I have tight hips which cause problems all down the line (wobbly knees).

I bet your hips are out of alignment. Happens to runners a fair bit.

Thanks for all the answers, guys. : ) I guess I'll make an appointment with my doctor today. Hopefully she'll be able to figure out what's going on, and if not, I have to see her before I can see a specialist anyway.

See what your MD says but I'd bet they recommend rest and PT. Just realize that a PT may or may not be the best solution for your problem. I'd highly recommend also consulting with a Chrio. I looked down on them for years until my body became so uneven I was almost crippled from doing nothing at all. Depending on your problem a PT may or may not be better than a Chiro for you. While it sucks running around for multiple opinions - it can make a difference between a crappy pain filled life and a healthy pain free one.
