I am currently over weight due to stress from work and school. I have been eating really bad and things need to change. My issue is I have a very busy schedule and I do not have time to work out. I am currently in school to become a surgical tech and it's a very fast pace class and I am about to start my clinical's. Any advice for meal preps and quick excessive routines would be very much appreciated.

MFP works on the principle of CICO (Calories in/Calories out). As long as you're eating at a calorie deficit every day, you'll lose weight. Exercise obviously makes this easier because it increases your "calories out", but it's not necessary to lose weight. Since your schedule is so busy, perhaps you should start by simply logging everything you eat (accurately, with a food scale) and see how you do. If you find that it's difficult to stay in a deficit, then you can try adding exercise into you regular routine.

With regard to specific foods you should eat, it really doesn't matter as long as you're maintaining a calorie deficit. Plenty of people around here have had success losing weight without drastically changing the type of food they eat. They just eat less of it.

You don't need to workout to lose weight. It can help with your stress though if you can find any time for it. Even just a quick walk between classes can do wonders. When I was working full time, going to school at night and was a single mom I ate mostly fast food (and didn't work out) and still managed to lose weight because all it takes is a calorie deficit. Make the best choices you can but log those calories. I find it easier when I am that busy to have healthy grab and go snacks - you can always go to Subway or something and get a decent lower calorie meal but the snacks is where I really rack up the calories if I'm not prepared. String cheese, boiled eggs, ostrim sticks, jerky, cut up veggies, fruit, etc. can keep me away from the vending machines and high calorie starbucks pastries between meals.

I am eating low carb high fat (LCHF) since january. I have lost 115 pounds without exercise, without being hungry or having cravings. A great website is dietdoctor.com you do not have to buy or join anything. Lots of good reading. There are other sites too and groups here at MFP

Just eat less. That's all you need to lose weight, and it will even be quicker than anything.

Meal preps. Find a day that you can cook up several days worth of meals. chicken, turkey, etc. make wraps or things that are easy to travel with you, create some dinners. Freeze those that you won't eat within the first few days.
Do the same with veggies. Cut items up and bag them so its 'grab and go'.
I just bought an instapot - I haven't tried it yet! hoping it will save some crazy evening cooking time.

Welcome and good luck with all your goals!!!!
Busy people tend to do even more when committed because they have to plan everything and do it!
    You can do it!
you'll feel better too, and if you're eating better, your brain works better and that helps your schooling.
    Lots of water too! :)
