Cold Showers
You either love them or you hate them. Many people even believe they have health benefits, such as raising your metabolic rate for a time, and to keep your skin from becoming dry.

What are your views on cold showers? I personally love them!

They have their place... When it's 33c and you need a shower just from showering.

NO to cold showers, I can not find one health benefit worth me trying to endure something so unpleasurable.

No way. I may rinse my conditioner with slightly cool water but I refuse to take a cold shower unless it's the middle of summer. The cold water is supposed to close the cuticle and lock in the moister.

Train for a marathon in Georgia summer heat. You're gonna want that cold shower like it's your job.

    right?

I ran the Peachtree Road Race a couple of times;I saved the marathon for San Diego.

    .... I'm smart like that.

I was training for rock n roll Savannah which was in November but still had to log them summer miles. Would leave at 5am to avoid running in the sun but even at 5 the heat takes your breath away as soon as you open the door. Like it better than running in the winter though

    True.

The San Diego RnR was in August; I live in Phoenix.

15 to 20 mile training runs in July need to start early in the day.

I no longer do that to myself.
