The holidays...

Wow, this is harder than I expected! Anyone else?

I had a Christmas dinner last weekend, then all week my mom was baking and making fudge. I gave a lot of it away to others, but after a few bad days I'm having a hard time getting back on track, especially with Christmas day coming up soon anyway.

I'm a grad student so when I go on Christmas break it's about 5 weeks of change of scenery being back home. Comfort food and feeling like I deserve a break from my hectic school schedule. Plus, the cold ruins my motivation for my exercise routine of running outside or even walking.

Any creative solutions to fight this fire storm of things testing me? I'm worried that I'll gain back the few pounds I managed to lose in my first month.

Best wishes to everyone this holiday season!

I feel the same way. Kinda discouraged about it. I need to decide to stick with it, but it's so hard with my neighbors giving me homemade cinnamon buns & brownies, and the dinners... I want to start tomorrow, but am afraid I will fail again.

Perhaps, find some activities like long walks to take a break from the food.

Eat at maintenance for a bit and enjoy the holidays in a reasonable way. You can get back to losing in a week or so, not the end of the world. If it is too cold outside, go walk at the mall or walmart if you don't have a gym you can go to.
