Scared to gain weight over the next 2 days

I have been trying to lose weight for the last 90 days and have successfully lost 44lbs but I'm so afraid to gain weight over Christmas Eve and day with all the big family meals!! I still have a lot of weight to lose and the thought of gaining scares me

Here's how you can guarantee you gain your weight back: eat something "forbidden" over the next couple of days, step on the scale and see that you've put a pound or two back on (water weight), then convince yourself that you're a failure and oh well, you might as well give up because you'll never be able to succeed.
Don't give into fear and despair, and enjoy the holiday with family and friends.3 -
Try this: find your maintenance calories for your current weight. Add up 2 days worth of maintenance calories and add 3500 (what it would technically take to gain a lb). Realistically, do you think you will actually be eating that much in the next 36 hours? Any gain you show on Monday will be water. Just get back to normal & no harm done.2

Plus, if you've successfully lost 44 lbs, I doubt you can eat as much as you think you can anymore. I can't.1

How wonderful you've done so well so far!
I personally won't be letting myself return to my past habits these next few days, because I don't want to undo my hard-earned losses so far.
You've probably built up your resistance to a lot of tempting foods over these past 90 days, so I think you'll find you have more self-control this year. Best wishes!1 -
Im scared too. I went over today. It was a nice time. Still scared though.1

Anything you gain will be lost in a week.... you really can't gain real pounds in a few days. It will be carb load and water weight.
Get back to work next week.
I'm planning on working out as usual..... and eating mindfully. Yes.... I think I might love to grove on dip and chips and sweeties, but I really don't want them.....
Stay calm and carry on.1 -
