Hi, I started a resistance training programme 2 weeks ago, it's going well so far and I am mixing it with swimming for cardio, any idea on when I should start seeing results from lifting kettlebells? I feel better in myself already and definitely think it's working I just want some results NOW! I'm only managing 2 sessions a week of weights if that helps?

I do:

20 x squats
20 x step ups
Stand against the wall with knees bent for 30 seconds

x3

20 x 8kg kettlebell lift with squat
20 x 8kg kettlebell lift with elbows above wrists
20 x 4kg kettlebell in each hand lift and squat

x3

20 x 25kg adductor
20 x 25kg abductor

x3

20 x 25kg arm curl

x3

30 mins of swimming (breast stroke) 3 times a week

Hope you can help.

    what sort of results?

if you are expecting to build muscle like this..then never...
if you are wanting to lose fat, then that is all dependant upon you and your hormones...
it took me about 6 months to lose 20 lbs.

I know I won't build muscle but would like to lose my bingo wings and stream line my thighs!

For results sooner try increasing # of reps to either 30 or 40. Especially if you are comfortable with the 3 sets of 20.
