Half my body by next Christmas

Hi, everyone! I'd like to lose around 100-120 pounds by next Christmas, and I could use some friends and support! I'd love to hear from you guys.

I had a really bad year but back in the game and I to need to lose 100. We can do it.0

That's a very hard goal. 2lbs. Week will take commitment
Good luck though I grafted this summer and lost 1.5 per week for 26 weeks. I had to spend 2 hours a day on a bike to achieve that

1-2lbs a week is where you want to be. That's only 3500-7000 calories a week. I suggest cut calories by 300 per day and hit the elliptical for 300-500 cal 4 days a week. It seems simple and it really is.1

I will hit half of my body weight in 2017. I started January 2016 and have lost 157 Lbs and have 106 left to go on my journey. I started at 378 and so I will hit half my body weight at 189 which is just a little over 30 lbs from now. Feel free to add me as a friend if you wish. I will be here for a while still.

I'm jumping in with both feet! I have 100 lbs to lose. I can hardly manage to bend over and tie my shoes anymore. Time for a change!1

Are you 200-240 lbs? If so, that's a really aggressive goal for a woman. The odds of maintaining a 2 lb average loss all year are very low.
I would suggest not trying to hit an arbitrary weight loss goal. Instead, focus on losing in a healthy manner while building lifetime healthy habits.

I think that's a very awesome and doable goal. I started my journey back in April and have lots 60lbs in 8 months. I had a couple months where I let life bring me down and came back out of it on top. Had i stayed on track no doubt would i of been down 80lbs by now. I have a personal trainer and I don't think I could of done it without her. I'm still trucking and have 65lbs left to lose. I try to be on here and help give support where I can.0 -

As some others have mentioned, that's a very aggressive goal. You may be able to do it but make sure you're not going to wreck your health in the process. I don't think anyone wants to discourage you, but we also don't want you to get to the end of the year and think you failed simply because you didn't get exactly where you wanted to be. Just as an example, I weighed a bit over 350 last year and lost almost 72 pounds, which is about 1.5 pounds a week. It was almost "easy" but I changed a lot about my eating and exercising habits. I would love to lose an additional 96 pounds this year but I also know that's pretty ambitious so I've set another goal to just match what I did last year. That way I won't be disappointed in myself regardless of what happens.0

Yep ... another person who could lose half themself.... i'm taking it one day at a time... i'm not expecting a miracle this time .... it's a long journey .... happy to have new buddies to help0

Let's do this! Please feel free to add me, everyone. I have an open Food Diary to help keep me accountable. If we aim for 2 pounds a week, that is 104 in a year. IT will NOT be easy - lots of hard work, dedication to no binge eating and daily exercise... we've got this!!!0
