Has anyone who lives a very active lifestyle do this? I'm trying to break habits and for 3 days I didn't count my calories but I increases my cardio bc I seem to have a lot of energy but want to lose a little bit of weight bc of Christmas.

A lot of people do it. Heck I did it intuitively until I hit my mid-forties.0

Been many years since I counted a calorie0

I know I have cravings, so maybe I should try to eat what I crave and be satisfied so I don't overeat because that's my biggest worry. I'm just not sure if I should eat at maintenance or not count at all and just estimate.0

I usually use this app for a couple months or so when I know how much food I'm consuming. I tend to eat the same foods but mixed up within the month. I'm pretty good at guessing how much I'm eating if I stay away from the unhealthy foods.0

It's definitely the holy grail, some manage it more easily than others. Those people who never gain weight in the first place, they're maintaining without counting, aren't they? So obviously it's possible. Personally I'm a long way off, whenever I stop logging I seem to lose all common sense around food. Maybe one day.0
