I think it's awesome that OP has the smarts and the time to come up with something like this for us.
I for one, just appreciate it. And if she makes money from this, then she deserves it, as she's the one who put in 100% of the work.

I am sure OP is the most solid and honest person on this planet and only has our best interests in mind. This place can become self promoting vehicle though with those not as solid and honest a person as OP. We have seen it before.0

Did you adjust the frame size option? If so, (I'm guessing you put 'small' frame) the BMI results are adjusted by 10%. I've explained the feature in detail here: http://www.weightloss-calculator.net/important-info/
If you didn't adjust the frame size option, something went wrong! Could you take a screenshot for me so I can figure out the problem?

Pretty cool. Your TDEE for me actually comes almost dead on with my Fitbit TDEE.2

Interesting.
Most calculators estimate my TDEE at 2100-2400 cals/day for light activity but this one calcuates it at just a little over 2000 which is the lowest yet. It also estimates my TDEE at just below 1800 for sedentary activity, while other calculators are just above 1800.
My "real" TDEE based on my actual level of activity and daily recorded food intake and weight measurement is closer to 1900. So, while this calculator still isn't "spot on," it is a bit more accurate than others for me.1 -

I understand where you're coming from, but I think that's a bit harsh. My hope is to make a helpful tool for people that are trying to lose weight. I’m not trying to use anyone. When I was losing weight I found figuring out this stuff really motivating, and I thought other people might find it useful too. Honestly, it would be awesome if I could make a bit of money from the site - considering all the time I put into it and what I pay for web hosting etc I don’t think that’s wrong, although I doubt it's ever going to make me rich.
I’ve posted the site here because I thought that people might find it useful and interesting, and that people might like the opportunity to give feedback, request new features and point out things that need to be improved etc. This seems to be true. When I made the original version of the site, the MFP community suggested several additional features and improvements, the vast majority of which I managed to implement. I’m a long way from a professional developer, so I’m very grateful for this. I’m learning a lot, and it improves the calculator for everyone.

Great job OP! The only thing I noticed is under the 5:2 recommendation it says 'two days at X calories per day/five days at X calories per day' rather than two/five days at X calories per week!0

i did not make it past my info. it just went blank.

On my android device i did an internet search for it and found it easily. filling in the information was easy as well. The confusing part to me was the parts in yellow. while i found out what BMR is, i do not know what a TDEE is. then it says to lose a half pound a week i needed to consume 2502 calories. in the calculator i put i was not active so if i were to eat that much i would gain not lose. then the green part starts using the calories i typed in. i will keep loking to see if there is more i am not seeing. but this i know if i do not exercise and eat or consume almost 3000 calories a day i will be back to over 300 lbs, where i started this. if i am reading it all just holler at me.

Thanks for your feedback! Your TDEE is your Total Daily Energy Expenditure - basically it's your BMR, adjusted to take into account your activity level to give you a rough guide to how many calories you need each day. (I'll add a note to the info page on the site explaining this, I'd forgotten.)
A couple of things could cause an overestimation in this case: Are you certain that your current weight and height were input correctly? (e.g. no typos)
If you could take a screenshot, or just tell me the data that you put in, I'll double check the calculations

I found it! Seriously, awesome calculator! I took a screenshot and it's my screensaver for the next 60 days! Had to bump my poor sons pic temporarily haha.

HeeHee thats what I thought too and it was my very first post on mfp. Turns out it really does nothing of the sort. I still do it because it fits my social calendar better to have high and low days. Plus I don't feel like I have to eat a "set" amount each day.0
