            Traveled last week for work (ate out too much), then had Christmas this week (ate out too much and ate Christmas food – read eggnog – this week). I am up a bit this week, but am now back on track to continue my downward trend. My end of year goal (down 2# this week) and end of challenge goal (down 12 lbs in 5.5 weeks) are still in reach. And I have this week off and can spend more time exercising and preparing for next week back to work.

            Ok, so water weight is a real and significant thing. Due to busy holiday week, I wasn't able to work out as much, ate what looked good in moderation, and didn't log for 2 days (whoops ) and the result is bizzare but pleasant. 12 lb loss for the week.  Buckling back down starting today/tomorrow with diet and exercise. I'm taking a beach vacation in February (my first in over 20 years!) and want to look great in my swim suit and airy sundresses. I'm thinking for me weight isn't going to be the best indicator of that, but I still think 153 might be doable by February 21st! I'm ready to work hard for it!

 Think it's safe to say I blew it over Xmas but I am not freaking out because I planned to eat what I want and I know the consequences of switching from a low carb diet back to carbs, I actually estimated a 10 lb gain so I shouldn't complain. Don't think i'll be able to post a loss for a good 2 weeks until I get my body back to keto adapted so I am going to amend my goal to something more doable (209) and next week I begin a strength training program and I exercise more consistently.

            Happy New Year everyone. I made my yearly goal and was down to 195.0 by 1 Jan 17. (Then I ate New Year’s dinner and went overboard ).  Today I am back on my diet/exercise routine and am working toward 52 lbs in the next 52 weeks to get closer to my ultimate goal weight.  If I meet this, I will be 143 lbs by the New Years Day 2018, which will be 3 lbs from my ultimate goal weight. ).
