Calf Injury - Calf Swelling

November 2015 I went on an elliptical and began peddling realizing that the person before me hadn't cleared it their settings which were very high. It felt like I pulled something, but kept going because it only bothered me for a second after I fixed the settings. The following day I began feeling numbness and tingling on the same area (side left back of knee) and a coworker noticed that my calf was significantly bigger than my right calf. After having an anxiety attack I went to the Dr in which they said I had a torn tendon. All I was told was to keep my Leg elevated, so I did. By end of January 2016 the swelling was gone so I began working out again- I ran on the treadmill. The next day it was HUGE again. I spent most of 2015 going to different specialists and DRs had 2-3 MRIs and Ultrasounds to rule out Blood clots and they see nothing wrong, however, more than a year later my leg is STILL swelling! More after workouts. Last DR said it might be soft tissue that's injured but he can't tell and I should stick to Pilates or Swimming and stay off my feet and learn to live with it. I'm a 29yr Female and would like to be more active than that! Any ideas on what can possibly be wrong with my leg? I've seen two orthopedists already. I bought compression socks which I plan to wear while on a treadmill or working out.

Have they ruled out what is known as a Baker's cyst? Hope you find relief soon...

Unfortunately they have - if it's there it didn't come up on the MRI.

Injuries can really suck, plus take a long time to heal. I had a rotator cuff injury that took two years, and still tweaks once in a while. Are you able to work with a physiotherapist for a while to see if there are some movements that you can do without reinjuring?

This is a long shot - lymphedema?

    Does it hurt?
