I've used Jefit and fitocracy, but nothing beats a notebook and a pen. So much easier to look back at.

    I like Fitnotes.

I also like notebook/pen so this year I am doing both. But instead of a plain notebook I am using a cheap day planner.

I use mfp. I log each exercise with sets reps and weight. Not the best app for this but I just dont want to use multiple apps. I use the exercise notes section for other specifics like how i felt or ideas for the next workout.

I've tried Fitnessbuddy and Gym Goal. So far, it's easiest to just use the gym software, Activetrax.

I haven't found an app that works particularly well with my programming...I use a notebook.

I've used several. Jetfit and Bodybuilding.com are the best. However, if you change your workout every 4-6 weeks like i do, entering your excercises, sets, reps, etc. is very time consuming. Also, the apps don't have all the exercises you might want to do. I went back to old school...i use a small notebook. Much easier and less hassle. Oh and other than the cost of a notebook a couple of times a year, it's free.

Great idea. I've been using iOS Notes app I have no history.

I use this, but is there a way to download the log, or something, so I can track my progress without having to look back at each training log?

I use Fitness Point Pro. I'm new to lifting, but it gives you loads of workouts to do. So I pick about 5 per area to train, and then change it up after 4 weeks to keep it fresh.

It gives you the ability to track your progress and also times out rests betweens reps, which i think is important.

So far its one of the easiest apps to use and you can customize your workouts. With each workout they offer it gives you details on what muscle your working out and how to do it properly.

    Its a handy app.
