All of the early U2 (Boy, October, War, The Unforgettable Fire) and then I stopped loving them when they got popular and their music tanked. Until How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb came out - they've gone back to their roots with that one, and I love them again.

Huge DMB fan as well, walked down the aisle at my wedding to "Steady as You Go", which is a gorgeous love song. I love all of Dave's music all of the way from when UTTAD came out in 1994, and have seen him more times than I can count. My most favorite album is probably Big Whiskey & the GrooGrux King, put out after the death of their beloved saxaphonist, LeRoi Moore.

I love music, and have many, many more favorites, but those are my top 2 :)

    The cutaway list:

    The Who - sellout
The Who - Live at Leeds
    The Who - Who's last
    The Who - Tommy
Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother
Pink Floyd - Wish you were here
    Pink Floyd - Wall, obviously
Pink Floyd - Dark side of the moon
    Pink Floyd - Animals
    Radiohead - The bends
    U2 - read shana's list above
    Beatles - Sgt Pepper
    Beatles - Abbey Road
    Beatles - white album
Angels and Airwaves - all albums
    Van Halen - 1984
Van Halen - Van Halen I and II
    Van Halen - OU812
    Van Halen - Balance
    Van Halen - K.I.T.T.E.N.
Oasis - Standing on the shoulder of giants
    Led Zeppelin - Mothership
Led Zeppelin - Houses of the holy
    Led Zeppelin - physical graffiti
    Led Zeppelin - presence

It is hard to find an album that is terrific end to end. Modern music has killed the whole concept album concept.

Add The Who's Quadrophenia to this list.

Pink Floyd's Animals is way underrated too.

    plus...

    Steely Dan's AJA
    Miles Davis' Kind of Blue
    Steve Earle's Copperhead Road
    Los Lobos' Kiko
    Seal's 1st Album
Counting Crow's August and Everything After
    Pat Metheny's Offramp
Anything by Tom Waits (remember, no judging )
Sturgill Simpson's Metamodern Sounds in Country Music
Jane's Addiction Ritual de la Habitual
    Cowboy Junkies' Trinity Sessions
