When to weigh after vacation?

After vacation, how long should someone wait to weigh themselves again? I think I did pretty well on my vacation. Splurged on food and drinks but didn't go drastically over my cals and also fit in quite a bit of exercise. But I know I was over on sodium most days so I really want to avoid stepping on the scale and feeling like crap for gaining 7 pounds or something just from sodium bloat/water weight!

How long should I wait to weigh after I've resumed my normal eating and exercising?

I would say after two days of drinking TONS of water. That is how long it typically takes me to get the bloat off anyway.

I'd be tempted to keep my weigh-in day the same but realize it's likely going to come back off (and possibly more) next time. But that's just me and what I need for motivation after vacation :)

I would say it takes 2-3 days to get rid of that extra water weight and bloat.

But for me I would want to jump on the scale right away just to see what it says. Then I'd weigh again in a few days to see if weight went back down to at or near pre-vacation weight. I like to know how things are "sitting" with my body. I'd want to know if the scale showed I went up 5lbs during vacation, but then 3 days later I was back down 4-5lbs. I am curious like that and enjoy seeing how different foods, meals, exercise etc fluctuate my weight. Of course I only count weigh-ins once a week as my official weight, Thursday mornings.

Thanks all! I think I'll weigh tomorrow morning, but not pay any attention to what it really says for 2-3 more days. :flowerforyou:
