Prep: 20 min Broil: 11 minutes Makes: 4 servings

1/3 cup dry bread crumbs or 1 cup soft whole wheat bread crumbs ( italian bread crumbs)
1 slightly beaten egg white
1 tablespoon milk (almond milk)
1 0.7-ounce envelope of Italian salad dressing mix
1 pound lean uncooked ground turkey or chicken (turkey)
4 pita bread rounds, toasted, or 4 whole wheat hamburger buns, split and toasted
1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
Greek Salsa (instructions below)

Prepare first:
Greek Salsa
In a small bowl stir together 2 tablespoons withe wine vinegar, 2 teaspoons olive oil, and half the italian salad dressing mix. Stir in 1 cup finely chopped tomato. 1/2 cup finely chopped cucumber, and 1/4 cup finely chopped, pitted kalamata or ripe olives. (I also added sundried tomato). (feel free to change up the amounts of veggies used if you like cucumber more etc .. )

1. In a medium bowl combine bread crumbs, egg white, milk, and half of the salad dressing mix. Add turkey and mix well. Shape turkey mixture into four oval patties.

2. Broil 4 to 5 inches from the heat for 11 to 13 minutes or until no longer pink (165 degrees F). Turn once halfway through the boiling time.

3. Serve the burgers in pita bread rounds. Top with Greek Salsa and sprinkle with feta cheese. (I used flatbread)

Nutrition Facts per serving: 403 cal, 18g total fat (5g sat fat) 1,777mg sodium, 32g carb, 3g fiber (get more if use flatbread), 28g protien.

****I cannot claim this recipe as my own, it is from "Better Homes and Gardens" Special Edition.****

I have added items in parentheses to show you what I used or added. The burgers were delicious and the cold greek salsa on that hot turkery burger was such a good mixture. I will add a picture of my finished product as soon as I figure out how.
