Has anyone had success with weight loss and The Whole 30 or Paleo?

Yes, my husband lost 35 pounds in a month. I lost 15 pounds in a month (and was already at a low-mid BMI at 150 and 5'10" so 15 pounds was pretty impressive to lose).

Note: We were successful because Whole 30 jump-started us into meal prepping, careful calorie counting, and naturally lower-calorie meals (just meat and veggies, limited sauces, I couldn't drink my 160 calorie latte every day and instead drank black cold brew coffee).

The food I cooked was great, and it was super fun to meal prep and try different things. It can be done VERY inexpensively if you do not feel the need to get fancy. We ate for, like, $60 each week between the two of us. The bill would get higher when I decided to get real extra about things (read: seafood, fancy cuts of steak, etc.).

Ultimately, it worked well for us. We liked it. He's into eating keto stuff because he likes a "way" of eating to keep him focused and on track. I don't care either way; however, I do recognize I lose weight fast with a routine or restrictive dieting because it keeps me focused. It isn't necessary but we both found it helpful.

Thanks. I am still in my first week, but so far feel great. To be honest, it is not all that different from my regular meals. I think that it is a great way to be aware of more than just calories (which has primary been my focus in years past).
