My husband noticed this on advertising on the package and I looked into it.

Regular Craisins (Oceanspray-website)
1/4 cup
130 calories
Carbs 33g
Fiber 3 g
Sugar 29 g

Reduced Sugar Craisins (Oceanspray-package)
1/4 cup
100 calories
Carbs 31g
Fiber 10 g
Sugar 14 g

All other nutrients = 0.

How can the reduced sugar variety have 15g less sugar but only 2g less carbs?
How can the reduced sugar have 7g more fiber per 1/4 cup?
Why is there 7g of unlisted carbs on the reduced sugar, but only 1g unlisted on regular?

:p:s

Because Fiber is a carb and the Reduced Sugar has 7 grams more fiber.

How can the same amount of craisins have more fiber, that is the question! Craisins are dried grapes.

They replaced sugar with soluble cornfiber. Just read the ingredient list.

The sugar free variety has a couple of extra ingredients, including a soluble fiber to keep them moist.
