It seems as if i hit my plateau, I am only 2-5 pounds away from my first goal weight of 135..I say 2-5 pounds because my weight is jumping from 137-139 then back to 137. I am wanting to get down to 120-125. I have read to lower your calorie intake even more, and i have also heard to up your calorie intake so I am confused on which way to go,I am seeking any kind of advise, please don't answer if you just want to play games because this is serious for me, What have you done to break that dreaded plateau?
how long did it last? please any advise would so much appreciated

Tammy, your body is giving you every sign asking for help and you are ignoring it.
You need to eat more... up your calories ... you just posted a few days ago that you are hungry all the time. You have to fuel the machine if you want results from that machine.

    Good luck .. :)

I was on a plateau for about 5 weeks. I upped my calories to 1300, starting doing HIIT on my elliptical every other day, and made my cardio exercises more intense but less frequent. I have also added some strength training in my routine, and I am seeing progress, but still very little. This week I only lost .2lbs. My goal is 120-125 as well. I've also heard that ziggzagging your calories keeps your metabolism on its toes. I think thats what im going to try next.

I was on the dreaded plateau for 2 stinkin' months! Read a post on a way to do zigzagging and tried it starting on Wednesday. It works great so far! The scale moved down...I recommend you try it. Here is the thread:

    Hope this helps...

My and my partner zig-zag our calories intake (for different reasons, mine to loose weight his to gain muscle). So I do 3 days 1200 calories, 1 day 1400 calories, 1 day 1600 calories, 5 days 1200, 1 day 1400, 1 day 1600, 4 days 1200 etc etc. I have found ti a great way of getting out of the plateau - confuses the body

I was at the same weight for 5 weeks! It was killing me. I changed my exercise from Turbo Fire to Insanity, starting zigzagging my calories and bam, it broke!!! I was always the one who was afraid to eat those calories back, but I did it and it works!! Good luck!

I agree, Tammy. Add about 200 to 300 calories food (not supplements) a day for about a week. The worst that can happen is that you will maintain your weight, which is what is happening anyway but at least you will feel better.
