A few months back I purchased the shawn t work out videos. I am finally gonna start them but without an activity tracker how do I know what I am burning ? Don't really have the money to buy a fit bit and after reading reviews on other brands I would rather wait until I can buy the fit. Anyway how do I know what I am burning ?

Put your age, gender, and weight in the calculator and find something in the list that resembles your workout. Save your money.

If you really want to know for sure, you can hire some scientists to put you in a specialized mask that measures how much oxygen you're using, and do the workout in a laboratory. It'll cost somewhere in the ballpark of $10,000. That kind of accuracy isn't really necessary for most people, which is why Insanity Science isn't the biggest thing of 2017.

On the other end of the spectrum, you can take an educated guess, and go with it. Log your workouts and your food, diligently, for a month. See if your weight loss matches what your calorie guess predicts. Adjust it as necessary.

I doubt a Fitbit will get you any closer to the truth than an online calculator. They're good at what they're made for, but this isn't it.
