I think it's a net of negative 7000 calories each week (that includes the calories you lose everyday doing nothing as well). One pound is 3500 calories I believe.

    1 lb. = 3500 calories so

    2 lbs. = 7000 calories

divided by 7 days in a week =

    1000 calorie deficit per day

    I believe the deficit is 1000 calories a day (7000 a week).

2 lbs/week should only be done if your BMI is in the obese range. If your BMI has you in the "overweight" range, 1 lb/week is better.

2 pounds is pushing the limit.
    1 pound is recommended.

2lbs a week you need to be at a calorie defict of 7000 calories per week. 2lbs a week is still in the healthy range for someone people. The most I can do is 1lb since I am close to my goal.

Yes - you need to be eating 7000less to get rid of 2lbs a week. 1-2lbs a week is considered healthy. Depending on how much weight you have to lose though - it may not be super easy - those who dont have a lot to lose have a harder time losing. Calorie burns are more difficult.

depends on the person...3,500 calorie = 1 pound fat isn't really accurate. Just try zig zagging. =)
