Well ... I have been fighting mental illness for a LONG time. I don't know if I would say I've been successful, but I am putting a pretty big focus on diet and exercise this year.

Hi. Im sorry to hear you suffer with anxiety. I to do and its very hard. Ive never heard about treatment with diet. But I do know feeling better about myself such as weight and beauty help me to feel braver, less judged, just more cookie cutter blendable in a crowd LOL.

You can use Exercise to help as a tool if you are battling Mental Illness. Nothing will replace Meds and being totally committed to keep your illness in check. People with Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression MUST put their disorder as #1 on their health list. Eating well, activity, moving will make you feel much better, unfortunately a lot of people withdraw or stay in bed. You gotta just tell yourself GET MOVING !!!

Bipolar and anxiety. I started exercising 6 months ago and can feel the mental health changes. It feels so good!

My psychologist said that 40 percent of my worsening anxiety is due to my terrible diet and lack of exercise. So now I eat better (slowly) and I exercise outside at least twice a day. I have panic disorder with agoraphobia. It's not always easy going out there, but I trudge on.

Eating a mostly clean diet has helped stabilise my moods on more than one occasion.

I have also gone completely bonkers while eating well (bipolar 1).

Regular exercise is also an important part of my care plan.
