Looking for friends with similar body sizes and goals.

I'm 31, 5'6" at 219 pounds.
I'd like to lift heavy but have to start out with body weight exercises because I don't have access to equipment.
I definitely want a smaller waist. I feel like getting down to 150 is a good idea weight wise but I am positive all of that will change as I hit closer to strength goals. I'm not strict on a weight goal because I haven't been that weight since high school and have no idea what my body will do in this journey.

Biggest goal is to get healthy because I have an anxiety disorder that would highly benefit from healthier choices. Secondary goal would be to be strong. Tertiary goal would be to have some weight loss.

First off, your use of the word tertiary makes me want to be friends.

I am taller (5'9") and heavier (288lbs) but starting out similar to you (and also in my 30's). I've done lifting heavy in the past and really enjoyed it, but my backslide was terrible and now I can barely hang with beginner's yoga. Once I feel stronger, I do have a nice set of 15lb dumbbells that I'll start with. I am also thinking of doing a hiking challenge for Make-a-Wish that will have me walking/hiking long distances in training.

    Feel free to add me!

Hi - I'm not exactly in the same area you are -- I'm at 243, and 5'8", 33 y/o. I'd be happy to cheer you and me on. I don't specifically have a goal weight, more a goal size. I'd like to be a size 10/12... which probably means I'll need to drop 60+ lbs, so we have a similar amount of weight to lose. I currently eat Low Carb, and workout at OrangeTheory Fitness 4x/week which is HIIT. I'd be happy to cheer us both on as we go on our way.

Haha, I like words, especially of the archaic variety. I'm actually in the midst of writing my first novel. Might as well work toward all my goals!

Backsliding is the pits. But, I feel like since I did it once before, it proves that I can do it now, even if I am a year older.
