S Health Users - Total Exercise Minutes

Shout out to anyone using Samsung's S Health or the Gear Fit watches. I'm trying to document all of the minutes of exercise I do throughout the day that gets logged in S Health.

For now, it's mostly just cycling and I try to walk for 30 minutes a day. I'm putting all of this stuff into a spreadsheet and wanted to find if you've been able to find a quick and dirty way to find TOTAL exercise minutes by day. S Health seems to log minutes only by the actual activity you do.

I can duplicate it in MFP I guess at the time I do it - but sometimes forget and it'd just be really nice to see "total minutes" by day.

I don't have a ton of confidence in the calories during excercise. Those numbers are all over the map. But I think it would be useful to see overall trends against my daily calories, my sleep, and my weight.

Anyway, I'm kind of pulling this stuff from all over and putting it all into a spreadsheet. Just didn't know if any of you use S Health and how you intergrate that in MFP.

I just got the Gear S3 and I really like it. It does floors (like the new FitBits) and their interface is getting better.

Thanks!!

  • On the home page of S Health I have three goals- The be more active goal shows the total minutes of activity. To turn it on, go to 'manage items' (found by clicking the 3 dots on the top right) then 'goals'

Hope that works for you and is what you were looking for.

I also have little faith in the calories for exercise- they don't match what I get from my chest strap heart rate monitor so far..
