Hi I'm Tiffany, I'm 24 years old with a husband and three very small boys. I am addicted to food! I'm always thinking about what I can be making, what's for dinner, etc... you get the idea. I am an amateur cake decorator and often snack on my cake scraps as I bake. My weakness is creamy deserts and hearty foods. What am I going to do? I want to eat right and I try so hard to convince myself that I don't need to eat that or am I REALLY hungry? Please help me! Anybody else with the same problem? Advice?

How much sleep do you get? This is an interesting article about the relationship between lack of sleep and feeling addicted to food.

Good question, last night I was finally able to go to sleep around 3:30 am after two chicken cantina bowls, two chocolate truffles, a hot shower with some lavender essential oil, and a little bit of yoga... :( this is my cycle and it never seems to end. Doesn't help that the kids get up at nine and I work evenings...

Are you drinking enough water? Often our brains confuse thirst for hunger. Also, belly full of water has less room for food. I'm a foodie too. One thing that made a huge impact on my life was finding that I had food allergies. I ovewhelmingly craved the things I was allergic to. Its another one of those weird says our brains and bodies get confused. Sometimes we develope a kind of addiction to certain foods. My daughter was the worst carb junkie until we took her off them for 60 days to check for allergy. She wasn't allergic but did find that after the break she didn't crave carbs anymore. I stopped buying things that weren't good for me. Every single thing I pick up in the grocery store goes through the questions is this good for me? How am I going to feel about logging this? I log EVERYTHING I eat. Before it goes in my mouth I consider logging it. How many calories? Are they good or crap calories? Avocado for example is high in fats and calories but it's a super food so it's ok. I had a really bad relationship with food. I ate cuz I felt bad then felt bad cuz I ate. It was this ugly cycle and one day I was like I'm sick and it's my fault. I don't want to be sick anymore. Its time to stop. So I did. I would be happy to support you if you'd like. Encouragers and accountability partners are invaluable.

That is an amazing and very thoughtful way of looking at it. I will try this! So every time I feel hungry, drink water. Seems simple enough. Honestly, I would love that. I can't believe how great that made me feel when I read that someone wants to support me.
