Any motivational words, tips, mantras, mottos, words of advice?
I'm averaging about .5-1lb of loss per week, which I know is on track.
But sometimes omg, it just seems like I will never really get there.
Just feeling a little down this morning!

Have non-weightloss goals--running a certain distance, being able to do a specific yoga pose, hitting goals in the weight room, etc. That kind of thing gives you something to work on while weight loss happens.3

I like the idea of hitting certain goals, I lift so I will work on that more as well.0 -
I am also a half pounder. It does seem incredibly slow some times. I started in January 2016 and as I was reflecting on the new year I realized I needed to thank myself for the decision I made back in 2016. Even though it is slow, a year has made a huge difference! Also when I feel like giving up sometimes, I ask myself, "Well what would you rather do? Go back to how you were before? No? Well then carry on."5

I recommend that you celebrate progress big or small. Even if you plateau for a minute keep perspective- maintaining isn't gaining!0

When I first started I aimed for a lb. a week. Some weeks I would lose slighly more. I got tired of eating in a deficit, so I started eating at maintenance. It took me a while to get under 200 lbs., but I was able to increase the intensity of my training, with the extra calories. I'm losing slower, but I'm happy. Consistency is key. It will get you to your goal. It may take some time, but the changes will come.2

I just asked my husband to hide the scale in the house so that I don't weigh everyday. I know I'm eating under my calories and working out.. I'm obsessing over the scale.
If we know we're doing right we have to trust the system and ourselves and just be patient. it will happen..right?

Read some success stories, especially those who lost more than you and took longer than you. That always helped me!
Look back at where you started, where you were 6 months or a year ago. It won't seem so bad now.1 -
You can also try setting some weight loss milestones and rewarding yourself when you achieve them. For example, I'm a pipe smoker/collector so every time I lose 2 lb (I don't have much to lose), I buy myself a new vintage pipe. When I reach my goal weight, my reward will be a pretty spendy Dunhill pipe that I've had my eye on for a couple of years.0

I often find myself thinking or rather wishing it were a faster process.1 -
I lost 30 lbs in over a year (about 14 months) I felt so discouraged some weeks but I persisted and now I am happy with the results.1
