Is there any way to turn off passive aggressive MFP messages when I log food

I'm not sure if this is supposed to be encouraging or something but whenever I log food I get messages popping up about the foods.

For example I logged some grapes as a snack and it said "you're aiming to eat unde 50g of sugar"

It tells me other foods are high fat or sodium.

All very encouraging I'm sure but I already know enough people who deride me over food choices (myself included) without my phone getting in on the act. Is there some way to turn this off?

Go to settings > Diary Settings and then toggle Show Food Diary Insights to off.

    Game changer. Thank you!

Telling this story for about the hundredth time: I was having a frozen burrito and a mini drumstick ice cream for lunch. The burrito got me the fat warning, but the ice cream got me a high five for meeting my protein goal. I leave the flags on because they make me laugh like that sometimes.

I once accidentally logged 24 x 8oz bottles of Blue Moon beer, rather than 24 oz of Blue Moon beer.

It congratulated me on hitting my protein goal.

    *high 5*

LOL!!! I've had MFP congratulate me on hitting my iron goal...for drinking a whole bottle of wine (oops):p But it shames me for a tiny pat of butter, "butter is high in saturated fats." You don't say?

I didn't know you could turn them off. I usually just tell it, out loud, not to tell me how to live my life.

    "You're not my real dad!"

    LOL
    You made my day :)

I don't do the phone app. I just log on my laptop. This never happens to me. Sounds like I'm missing out. :(

Once, after eating a day full of all kinds of cheese, butter, and cream, I logged a skinless chicken breast and got the fat warning. :D

Low carb and keto makes MFP lose it's mind. "Quit judging me, MFP! I do what I want!"

After reading this thread, I think I'm going to leave the app as it is, and have fun imagining everyone in here growling at their phones when they get another "tsk tsk, you know you really shouldn't be eating that" message.

Thanks for the tip on turning this off; I'm 61 and don't need to be told my sugar goal is blah blah and that apple just made me exceed it!
Or,when I take my calcium supplement: this food is high in calcium!

Yesterday I got a judgey notice about sugar. All I had eaten was a clementine and a banana. It wasn't like I'd even eaten something fun and worth the judginess.

I definitely tell my phone not to judge me on a daily basis.

Picturing everyone chastising their phones is making me giggle.

I do think it's one of those 'features' that's good from far, but far from good. Unless it amuses you. :)

Just out of curiosity - how did that fit your Calorie goal?
