    I'm comfortably in my size (US) 12 pants now, at 5'4" and 151 pounds. I carry a lot of belly fat, so pants that fit in the belly are too saggy in the butt. So frustrating!

    According to the various charts that I've come across a size 12 US is a size 14 UK.

    Of course, as mentioned by various posters, each manufacturing company uses it's own sizing guidelines. Your best bet is to go by your actual measurements.

    I can wear a size 8 US at Old Navy, but a size 10 or 12 at other stores. I wear a medium up top no matter where I shop, although some mediums fit a bit looser than others.

    Edit to add my height, weight and measurements.

    I'm 5'8", 157.4 lbs, 29 inch waist, 38 inch hips and 37.5 inch bust (across nipples)

    I'm 5'6", 187 pounds, hourglass figure and just starting the slide out of 12's and into 10"s.

    5'3" size 10/12 at 157-162# - ironically, I wore the same 10/12 jeans until I was 5 months pregnant.
