Your dream home gym

What would you include in your dream home gym?

I currently have a setup in a spare bedroom, but it is very tight. My husband and I have decided to finish part of our basement in order to move the equipment down there.

Equipment I already have:
Power rack PPR200x power rack with chin up bar
Rogue barbell
Rogue bumper plates
Assorted old iron plates in lower weights
Powerblock dumbbells (5-50 lbs)
Incline bench
Foldable reverse hyper
Very very old treadmill (would replace this)
Assorted resistance bands
TRX

The space in the basement is pretty large. What else would you add in your dream gym?

In addition to the half cage with pull up bar, Olympic bar + weights, bumper plates, and dumbbells I have, I'd like:

    More ceiling height
    Cable rig
More dumbbells in a range of weights
    More oly plates
    Platform
A full cage with pull up bar
    TRX set up
    Tires and tire flipping space
    Indoor track
    Stationary bike
    Hot tub
    A cooperative spine

Basically I want a commercial gym that's mine and mine only :p

Other than a good treadmill I think you have what I would consider my perfect gym set up.

I'd also want a cable station, some heavier dumbbells, and preferably a deadlift platform. But that's probably about it.

Plus three different types of foam rollers, a kettlebell set, and a separate area with a wood floor and a TV for pilates, yoga, and Zumba.

But this is all serious fantasy because I live on the second floor in a small condo. Home gym ain't ever happening.

Same for me. Except I want AC in my garage (Las Vegas). I have mostly all the equipment I need already: pull up bar, dip bars, suspension straps, floor pad, jump rope. In my dreams I'd have the money for a commercial quality rower...but the AC will come first.

Similar to @_dracarys_ more ceiling height and my workouts NOT relegated to the basement because all the weight lifting equipment "is ugly".

A concept2 rower would be a dream, as well as more plates and rebuilding the platform all proper-like.

Check out the Fahrenheat heaters on amazon. I just installed one and it heats up my whole garage from freezing in minutes. A bit pricy but well worth it.

I have an old bowflex ultimate that will be departing soon, dumbbells, chinup bar, TRX, elliptical and a weighted vest lol. Gotta start somewhere.

I'll be researching home gyms, adding a bar and plates and maybe a dip station.

Whatever decent I can fit into my cold, dark basement.

    In New England lol.

    Powercage
    Inclinable bench
Bar catcher thing for bench, (to avoid having to keep messing around with power cage setup) Something like one of these:
    MIRAFIT-HD-Adjustable-Weight-Lifting-Rack-Gym-Bench-_1.jpg

    Multiple-angle chin-up bar, eg 61Aab7usk%2BL._SL1500_.jpg
    6' & 7' Olympic bars & a bunch of weights
    EZ curl Olympic bar
Set of olympic weights and weight rack
    Lifting platform for deadlifts
A TRX rack with 3 TRX sets at different heights to avoid having to keep changing them
    Pair of Olympic rings
    TACX Vortex turbo trainer
Laptop for ZWIFT or other bike plans
Some form of calf-raise machine - standing or seated

If we're really pushing the boat out:
some sort of twin cable set up and a rack of dumb-bells
    a Dyson heater/cooler
    Concept rower

Also want to upgrade my plates soon since I'm just about maxing out my sleeve length with deadlifts. Some eliko or rogue competition plates someday.

I've got everything that I need already but to make it "ideal," I'd love to have 2-3x's the space (w/o giving up the rest of my garage) plus a 20' rope climb. Still thinking about ways to set up a rope climb.

My ideal would include a 25 yd lap pool.
You have a great list already, and additional great suggestions. You also might want to consider a stability ball, med ball, and battle rope.
