Fruit good or bad

So my sugar goal keeps getting exceeded. I'm eating fruit. Apples, bananas and grapes. If this bad these are pushing me over my goal or do they not count as they are natural sugars?

Sugar is sugar. Unless you have a good reason to track sugar, don't.6

Fruit is not good or bad. It's a food which is delicious, nutritious and can fit well into a varied diet.
If you don't have any medical reason to avoid sugar, then I wouldn't worry about it.
Just make sure you are eating lots of other things to give you good nutrition too.3 -
If the only sugar in your diet is coming from fruit, veg, seeds and nuts, then the sugars in those don't cause massive spikes in your blood sugar levels as the fibre in them slows down the absorption. Totally different if the sugars are in packaged/processed goods as most of these lack enough fibre to slow the absorption.3

Fructose (sugar from fruit) is good for you, no matter how much you eat.. refined sugar is the type we should be counting. Look at fruitarians, they are just fine! As long as fruit is your source of sugar, you have got NOTHING to worry about! It has far more nutritious benefits to the body than refined/processed sugars.1

Your body processes the sugar in fruit the same way as is processes refined sugar. Those with medical conditions like diabetes do have to restrict their fruit intake. And if you're eating over your maintenance calorie level you'll gain weight, regardless if those calories are coming from fruit or from cookies.4 -
This sort of thing can drive you crazy. Fruits and vegetables are good for you, period. I wouldn't stress over the sugar if it is coming from fruit. As far as vegetables go, I don't even count them at all. I see it as encouragement to eat more of them.1

Fruits are food. That's about the only label I'm willing to give it. Thinking about foods in terms of good and bad then further obsessing about ingredients and components is a quicksand I'm not willing to risk dipping my toe into.
I eat fruits and sometimes added sugar too, and I'm not dead, in fact I'm way healthier than I used to be. That's enough for me.
ETA: I have lost a lot of weight eating all kinds of sugar, including fruit sugars, without problems, and as mentioned above all my health markers have improved. If you are wondering if sugar (natural or otherwise) affects weight loss, you will find many examples here that it doesn't beyond personal preference and mismanaging satiety.3 -
Look at the entirety of your diet - maybe the start point should be what to include rather than what to exclude?
If you did that then you may well come to the conclusion that fruit should be part of your diet.
Your digestion breaks down your food into its component parts, it really can't differentiate the source or subsequent processing of sugar so the concept of "natural sugar" is very flawed.
Personally I never tracked sugar at all as it's just a subset of carbs, I replaced it with fibre and found that more useful.3 -
Fruit is good for you. It is full of vitamins and other nutrients. The idea that fruit is 'bad' is bizarre. If you keep to your calorie goals you will lose weight. Sugar-wise, if you're watching your levels for some reason, cut them from other sources.
Legends say that King John died from dysentery, eating a quite extraordinary amount of peaches, but that's the only one that springs to mind. So unless you happen to be in the rather niche position of being a gluttonous medieval king, I'd say dig in.2 -
I'm a fruit bat just love it, my sugar is always over I have carbs from fruit and veg as a seperate sections in
My diary so that I can see my excess sugar is coming from fruit .1 -
fruit is good.
