Invited to a sumptuous meal at a nice restaurant.
Active day, but not with a ton of exercise. (Does singing count? It makes you hungry!)
I have about 600kcals left for the day.
Yikes!

Personally, I would have no problem eating a 600 calorie dinner. What plan are you on? What kind of restaurant is it? Can you see a menu online? If you tell me the restaurant and let me see an online menu I can help you choose. I do this all the time...in fact, we're celebrating my mother-in-love's 80th birthday at an elegant Italian place in two weeks, and I already know what I'm eating...

So eat at maintenance for a day?2

^^^this.
OR eat what you want, log it and then deduct 50-100 calories the next few days to make up for it!

Ask for a box before you eat, put half in and find the closest option you can in the MFP database. As long as you don't eat out constantly, small inaccuracies won't end you.3

600 is definitely doable unless you go for something way decadent. Get a salad, or ask for a box. Do water instead of wine. Whatever you think works. I don't follow a "plan" as much as I watch what I eat and try to keep it within a set calorie range, and that helps.1

If you know where you'll be going, check out the restaurant's website for nutritional information and make your dinner choices before you even go. You're more likely to stick to your goals if you aren't under the pressure of "can I take your order". If you go over, it isn't the end of the world. Enjoy it and get back on track tomorrow!

This was a tough one. It was a tapas restaurant. Every dish was fairly heavy, but you only eat a few bites of each. It would be extremely hard to estimate what one ate. My solution was to skip alcohol, eat some of everything (including a bite of desert), then quick add a bunch of calories for the meal (I selected 1000 as a nice round number). It put me over for the day, but within a the range of maintenance.
Good news: I certainly didn't gain any weight on that day, particularly.1 -
