Today I hit the 100 pounds loss mark. I still can't believe it! I remember the day the flip switched in my brain and I vowed to never see that weight on the scale again. Anyone else remember a moment like that...what was it for you?

It's an amazing feeling!! congratulations keep up the awesome progress!
What flipped the switch for me (think that is your question) was my friends comment to me "Imagine where you'd be today if you committed yourself a year ago on this day" I vowed to change my life after that day and it was May5th that kind of changed everything for me.10 -
Congrats on ur loss!! I'm currently trying to lose the last 33 lbs in my 100lb count down! I can't wait to be where you are!9

That switch flipped in my head January 1, 2000. At midnight I decided that my life-long plan of killing myself with food had failed, and that henceforth I would live like a person who wanted to live to 100.

Congratulations!
What flipped it for me was when I realized how quickly the weight hops on. I was 365 pounds and one thing I told myself that I'd never let happen was get to 400. Currently I'm at 312 pounds and really looking forward to being out of the 300's all together and never looking back.15 -
Congratulations! That's awesome. And yes, I definitely had a moment like that. Back in March of this year I was 268 lbs and I was on the verge of having diabetes and I had high blood pressure. I looked in the mirror one day and said "screw it, I'm sick of being this way and feeling this way" and I haven't looked back since.12

You know I never had a switch flip until I started really losing the weight. When I started for like the millionth time, it was just that, yet another attempt. What made it flip on, was when I realized that I was actually doing it this time. Congrats to you and excellent job!7

Congrats on the weight loss!
For me, it came down to my Dr telling me that my BP was high and I was a heart attack waiting to happen. She told me to lose 10 pounds. I took her seriously and lost (so far) 104. I am almost back to the weight I used to be. Very excited.
My new Dr (the other one went back to school) wants me to lose 8 more, so that is my new goal.
Alas, I am still on BP meds, though.5 -
A blood pressure reading of 222/1xx flipped my switch.
Congratulations on the milestone.4 -
Congrats doll, you're an amazing example for everybody else. Sending lots of love!1

A well deserved congratulations to you! I remember when I lost my first ten pound I was ecstatic and figured that would probably be it; then I lost another 10 and though well, should I try for another 10? And I did, and I made it, and now I've lost another 10 and I still feel like I did when I lost the first 10 pounds!
But it is a great feeling and to have lost a 100 lbs must be a tremendous feeling, so good for you! I bow down to you!2 -
I.ve lost my first 4 on the 95lbs journey. Still feels like a loooong way to go.
My switch was flipped when I realised the extra weight Im carrying around amounts to the weight of my very tall 9y old who I cant lift anymore. I.e. the extra 95lbs on my body is like carrying my child around every day for 24hrs!7 -
That is SO awesome!! Congratulations!! You should be so, SO proud of yourself! I'm almost to the 100 lb loss mark myself!! I have about 40 more to go. It's such an awesome journey, isn't it?! Wishing you all the best!! So excited for you!! (:3

When I saw the weight at my DOT physical and only got a temporary 3 month physical. I decided I would give weight loss one more effort after I got off my final round of triple antibiotics to kill an H-pylori infection. I started focusing heavily on eating right and working out. I am now 245 and doing well SW was 258lbs at the doctors. I have a bad liver so I am hoping losing weight corrects that next too. My goal is to get under 204 by my next physical but I would be happy with any loss.2

Down 42 pounds...35 more to go. So over half way. I just got tired of being obese...just amazed how EZ this is to do CICO...sure wished I discovered this year's ago. Better late than never!2

Well done! I've had terrible food addictions my whole life. Had a couple of skinny phases with weight loss success, but they were both short-lived.
I've progressively been getting sicker for seven years. Pre-diabetes, edema, high cholesterol, gall stones, fatty liver (due to excessive sugar consumption and weight), high blood pressure during pregnancy, anxiety, depression.....NONE of that was enough to "flip my switch." I tried, but see, throughout all of that, I had a digestive issue, with food literally going straight through me. I was tired and weak all the time, and never felt full or satisfied from food....so I lived on high sugar food like chocolate (which I now recognise was to keep my energy up), and would literally eat all day long. During flare ups I was scared to leave the house in case of accidents, and I was anxious all the time. 7 years of really NOT enjoying life.
Then late last year I saw a new GP. My symptoms had grown so bad I was sick for at least three weeks a month. He finally listened, didn't just fob it off as anxiety, and actually referred me to a gastroenterologist. After several tests, I now know that I was having severe IBS symptoms as a result of muliple intolerances. There's a whole list of things that are now out of my diet....in fact, more things are out than in....but I feel like a new person! No symptoms since eliminating my trigger foods, and it is now soooo much easier to limit my calorie intake, because I'm not starving hungry all the time.
I'm 21.5 kg down...about 1/3 of the way to being a healthy weight. But I feel now, that I'm actually going to make it.2 -
congrats on 100 pounds loss. that is fantastic.
my switch flipped in may ended up prediabetic. food related fatty liver high BP couldn't walk around the block. thought I'd be dead in 5 years...that was may 2016 I was 39. well no more prediabetic BP down but still higher than I like. down 65 pounds with 70 more to go. I now walk or hike 3 miles a day.2 -
That switch flipped the day after I got out of the chest pain unit. When my doctor cleared me I began my training.2
-
Congratulations! You must feel amazing!
My switch flipped a couple of weeks ago, as my 35th birthday was looming around the corner. I decided that I haven't been very kind to my body so I really couldn't turn around and ask it to give me another 50 years. So I decided that I needed to make a change. A week after beginning to log my efforts, I have officially turned 35, lost 5 lbs, and have an enormous amount of energy.2 -

I thought I was reading my own post. I was diagnosed with IBS at first too. I had all your symptoms. Went to get a colonoscopy and they found I had severe H-pylori. I went from passing whole foods to normal. I am finally getting rid of the edema, and things are slowly dropping. The difference in my system is amazing. You can get a simple blood test to see if you have it. My form was so advance that my pancreas, liver, and spleen were being severely effected as well.0 -
