I decided to eat whatever I liked over the holidays (and I did), now finding it so hard to reign myself back in, did slightly better today, but still well over my calorie allowance

Me too exactly. I really indulged over the holidays, and then some, having only just yesterday recommitted to my previous plan. Although I recommitted yesterday, I then ate ice cream with chocolate syrup before going to bed, thereby blowing my calorie allowance. In addition to having ravenous food cravings, I'm finding it really tough to get to the gym in the winter. I began losing weight in August and it was a lot easier then, honestly. Here's wishing us success in the future!1

What are you eating when you are on the wagon then? In most cases, different diets for on and off makes consistency difficult. I discovered that eating whatever I want every day is so much easier.4

Be kind to yourself- you are doing your best- and you WILL get better- just take time and do it better next time-1
